	I love to make baby quilts for friends and family, and occasionally for commissions. It is also a good format for trying out different techniques, colour combinations, and interesting blocks. Whether the quilt will be handed down from child to child, or loved to bits, it is a special gift to welcome a new baby with something hand-made with love and care.

Butterfly Series

	Princess Butterfly1 This was a special request for a baby quilt with pink butterflies. I couldn't find suitable fabric, so learned to print fabric on the computer. SOLD

	Princess Butterfly 2 Purple butterflies on this little baby quilt. I printed the butterfly fabric myself as I couldn't find fabric I liked. SOLD

	Princess Butterfly 3 I used my hand dyed fabric to complement the butterflies. SOLD

	Princess Butterfly 4 II printed this fabric with lots of different sized butterflies and appliqued a flower in the centre. Hand dyed sashing and a sparkly border made it a bit different. SOLD


	Princess Butterfly 5 The request this time was a large butterfly so I pieced it with pink toned commercial prints. I added a pieced heart border top and bottom SOLD.

	"Patricia" 36" x 29" 91 cm x 74 cm Continuing with the pastel floral fabrics that have been so popular. Backed with soft cream flannelette. NZ$99.00 SOLD

	Trip Around the Garden 37" x 32" 94 cm x 83 cm A version of the traditional "Trip around the World" design, using floral fabrics for a domestic theme. NZ$99.00 This item is currently on display at: The Craft Station Little River Canterbury New Zealand

	Felicity 76 cm x 94 cm. Another sweet little floral quilt as they have been so popular. Backed with soft cream flannelette, so cuddly. SOLD

	Innocence The more I work with these pale florals, the more I love them. NZ$99.00 SOLD

	Rosebuds Made from a pack of Japanese "Hanamomen" fabrics, a very light, soft cotton in a more golden pink than usual. SOLD

	Allegro. 75 cm x 91 cm. I had a pack of beautiful Oakshott fabrics for years. When I got a book by Yvonne Porcella on her baby quilts I knew this was a perfect project. It's bright and geometrical - but I love it. NZ$250.

	Garden Walks 75 cm x 95 cm A traditional pattern, "Sunshine and Shadow" made in pink and cream florals with a touch od green. Sold

	Fish Quilt for Kadin 76 cm x 127 cm A boy-size quilt I made for a young relative who likes fish.


	Fairy Bread 86 cm x 92 cm I got into my stash of pastel florals that I have been collecting for years, ever since they went out of fashion. "Fairy bread" was a party staple in my childhood; thin white bread and butter with hundreds-and-thousands sprinkled on it. Sold

	Dainty 76 cm x 96 cm Another pastel floral baby quilt. The first was so popular. Sold

click to enlarge	Detail click to enlarge	Pre-Dawn Meditation Machine pieced and hand-quilted hand-dyed cotton lawn with wool batting W: 750mm H: 850mm I dyed these fabrics to make a colour gradation in opposite directions. As I sewed it, I listened to Jonathon Besser's music and thought it looked like a dawn sky, lightening from the bottom but with cool stars still shining at the zenith. NZ$250.00

click to enlarge	Detail click to enlarge	Sunshine After Storm Machine-pieced and hand-quilted hand-dyed cotton lawn with wool batting W: 700mm H: 910mm Indigo is a lovely colour in every shade from dark to softest blue. I used my hand-dyed cotton with golden yellow for contrast. It made me think of sunlight breaking through the clouds. The quilting patterns are clouds, rain and mountains NZ$200.00
